The Knox County Sheriff's office said a prisoner ran off while being dropped off at their facility.
According to court documents, James Eads was originally arrested for manufacturing meth and possessing a firearm while being a convicted felon.
He was being transferred from the Leslie County Detention Center with a group of other inmates, and escaped after he left the vehicle.
According to police, Eads is still at large.
He's described as a 28-year-old white male, around 130 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
He was last seen wearing a gray basketball cap, sweat pants, and a gray short-sleeved shirt being worn over a white long-sleeved shirt.
Eads may also be barefoot or just wearing socks on his feet, as the black shoes he was wearing were found just over a block away from the jail.
