Kentucky State Police are investigating a shooting in McCreary County.

It happened around three this morning at a home on Osborne Creek Road.

Troopers say 71-year-old Norman Waters told them Crystal Redden had shot him, but investigators say Waters went into Redden's house and assaulted her and a man named Brian Spadlin.

They also say he assaulted two other women and it was then Redden shot him.

Waters was taken to UK hospital.

His condition is unknown at this time.
