Police Investigating Shooting At Stanford Walmart

Police say gunfire erupted when a shoplifting suspect left the Stanford Wal-mart Monday afternoon. 

They say when the suspect started exchanging gun fire with a police officer who was reportedly at the gas station next to the Wal-mart.

Police say someone was hit during the gunfire.

The Lincoln County-Interior Journal says the person hit was the suspect. The suspect is now at the hospital.

Wal-mart says no one inside the store was affected by the shooting. Wal-mart remains open during the investigation.
