Lexington Police are trying to figure out if a reported home invasion in the Hamburg area is drug related.

Police were called to a home on Colorado Road around 3:00pm Tuesday.

The homeowner told police he had fired a gun at two people when they tried to break into his house.

There are no reports of injuries.

Police are still looking for the two suspects.

Officers say a narcotics investigation involving the homeowner is now underway.
