Police: Husband Shoots Wife In Rockcastle County

A domestic dispute led to a shooting in Rockcastle County early this morning.

That's according to state police who say it happened around 1:30am at a house on Woodland Place in Mount Vernon.

Troopers arrested 62-year-old Vernon Renner saying he shot his wife, 59-year-old Christine Renner in the leg.

She was taken to Rockcastle County Hospital.

He was taken to the Rockcastle County Detention Center.
