A Jessamine County man is dead after what police are calling a "freak accident."

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call in the Brooklyn Road area of Wilmore Saturday morning where they say they found a 19-year-old unconscious but still breathing.

They go on to say Nicholasville native Luke Riddering was camping with some friends and was sleeping under a cliff when a rock fell onto his head.

The coroner says he died at UK hospital the next day.

        Police are still investigating.
