Police Arrest Woman After Danville Burglary

Around 6:00 Tuesday morning, officers investigated a burglary on East Lexington Avenue the where the homeowner reported a rife, weed eaters, leaf blowers, and a car were missing.
Police have arrested a woman after a burglary in Danville and are looking for two other people.

They were looking into a possible burglary in progress on Meadow Lane around yesterday around 2:00 a.m. where a homeowner found the carport door propped open and a TV in the floor, but nothing appeared to have been stolen.

Around 6:00 the same morning, officers also responded to a burglary on East Lexington Avenue the where the homeowner reported a rife, weed eaters, leaf blowers, and a car were missing.

Later that day, an officer on patrol in the Long Run area noticed a car with no headlights speeding down Hill-N-Dale Street.

He said he noticed it was the stolen Mercedes from the East Lexington burglary, and when he tried to stop it, three people got out of it and ran away.

Investigators said that officer arrested Brittany Todd after she fell while trying to escape.

She was charged with receiving stolen property and fleeing and evading before being taken to the hospital to be treated for a broken foot.

Police say they found the things that were stolen from the home on East Lexington, but are still looking for Edwin Wayne Riley and the other person who was in the stolen car.
