Police Answer Motel Robbery Calls Tuesday Morning

Lexington Police are looking for suspects after they were called to two different motels for robberies early Tuesday morning.
Lexington Police are investigating two separate robberies at motels early Tuesday morning.

The first robbery occurred at the Days Motel on Versailles Road shortly after 1 a.m.

According to police, the victim gave two other men a ride in his PT Cruiser. That’s when they pulled a gun on the driver and forced him to drive to a motel and get out. He was not injured, police said.

The two suspects were last seen in that PT Cruiser, which is orange with one chrome wheel in the back and tinted windows, police said.

The second robbery happened just after 2:30 a.m. at the Horseshoe Motel on Georgetown Road.

According to officials, the victim told police that two men broke into his room and one of them was armed with a gun.

The victim struggled with the suspect, causing the gun to drop, police said. The suspect picked up the gun and the two ran off, but not before grabbing the victim’s wallet and cell phone.

That victim was injured in the struggle, police said. He was taken to University of Kentucky Hospital to be checked out.

Police are looking for the suspects in both of these cases and ask if you have any information to please call the Lexington Police Department.

Police have not yet indicated if these two robberies are related.
