A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until tomorrow morning.

Temperatures are tumbling, and the rain showers are quickly changing to snow showers from west to east this afternoon.  Snow will be on the increase in the hours ahead.  The evening rush hour will be a very hazardous time in the Bluegrass Region as roads may become snow-covered and very slick.  Off-and-on snow showers will continue as temperatures fall into the upper teens tonight, before the snow showers end from west to east on Friday.  Total snowfall will range from 1/2" to up to 2" in some areas, although 1/2" reports will probably be more common than 2" reports.  Temperatures will remain well below average through the weekend, with lows in the middle teens during our coldest time, early Saturday morning.  A second disturbance will produce another round of snow showers on Saturday evening, and this may leave another light accumulation for many of us.  Sunday should be partly sunny and dry but still cold.  Readings will climb back into the 40s early next week, with widespread rain late Monday into Tuesday before colder air returns, changing the final rain showers to snow showers on Tuesday evening or potentially Wednesday morning in eastern Kentucky.  The active weather pattern continues!
