Kentucky State Police say one person is dead after a single vehicle crash in Magoffin County.

The crash occurred Sunday in the Fredsville community on Kentucky 7.

Police say Lonnie Dillon, 64, of Salyersville was driving a Chevy pickup on Kentucky 7, when the truck ran off the westbound shoulder of the road.

The pickup went over an embankment, struck a tree, and came to a rest. Dillon was pronounced dead at the scene by Magoffin County coroner Mark Jenkins. It is unclear what led to the crash.
