Police in Georgetown are looking for a man caught on surveillance video...breaking into a Scott County pharmacy overnight.
It's been several hours since the J & L Pharmacy was broken into overnight.. workers at the pharmacy say this isn't the for first time this business has been hit.
"So far whenever this has happened, we've had great success from the police being able to obtain the individual um, surely they'll have the same success with this gentleman," says Pharmacist, Phillip Johnson
Surveillance cameras were rolling inside the J & L Pharmacy when a man, wearing a mask, used a rock to bust through two of the pharmacy's front doors during the break-in.
"Came into the pharmacy area uh, looked around a little bit, trying to find some medications, uh, broke into the back room where we do our compounding, rummaged around there for quite a while and then exited the building," explains Johnson
Johnson says the man in this video was inside the pharmacy for less than a minute...but left behind a big mess.
"It's desperate times. People are I guess, in need for medication, sometimes for money and they do things they shouldn't do, um, as long as no one was hurt, everything else can be replaced," adds Johnson
Johnson says he does not think the burglar made it out of the business with anything...but, police still are actively looking for this man, who was last seen leaving the pharmacy, running towards a nearby cemetary.
"We'll continue to double-check all of our inventory to make sure that it all is here and then we can make an exact count of what's missing, if anything at all," mentions Johnson
Workers are estimating that several hundred dollars worth of damage was done, during Monday morning's break-in.
