Person Comes Forward in Death of Small Dog

The Jessamine County Sheriff's Office has said a person of interest has confessed to shooting a Pomeranian dog after putting it on a frozen pond in an attempt to drown it.
The Jessamine County Sheriff's Office has said a person of interest has confessed to shooting a Pomeranian dog after putting it on a frozen pond in an attempt to drown it.

The person's name has not yet been released.

Jessamine County Animal Control officers are still investigating, however, and charges are still pending as a necropsy is performed on the canine.

The dog's owner, Julie Land, has been contacted regarding the animal's death.
