Pedestrian Hit By SUV

A pedestrian was hit and seriously injured Monday morning while walking in Lexington.

 Police said a 21-year-old man stepped out onto New Circle Road near Harrodsburg when he was struck by a small Honda SUV.

 According to police, the pedestrian was heavily intoxicated.

 He was taken to the University of Kentucky hospital with what police say are serious but non life-threatening injuries.
