The pilot from a Pulaski County plane crash remains in the hospital in fair condition, according to officials.

The passenger in the crash, from Winchester, has been released from UK Hospital. Investigators said the pilot, Gary Mcglothin couldn't get enough altitude during takeoff from Boss Airfiled in Bronston and crashed into an adjacent field. Mcglothin and Charles Jackson got out of the plane before it burst into flames, according to officials.

The NTSB and FAA are investigating the scene, trying to figure out why the plane crashed.
