Just before 5 p.m. a sub-station on East Main Street in Frankfort caught fire.

As a result parts of Frankfort are without power. The Frankfort Plant Board says, “Power has been restored to several areas and should be restored along Versailles Road toward the East/West Connector and Glenns Creek within the hour. Power remains out from the East Main junction toward KSU. Power also remains out in the Sunset Dr., Lyons Dr., Highland Pkwy., Crestwood Dr., Allnutt Ave., and Douglas Ave. areas. Crews report it may take up to 8-9 hours to totally restore power to these areas.”

ABC 36 will bring you more information when it becomes available.
