The Fayette County School System has placed the Principal and the Administrative Dean of Cardinal Valley Elementary School on paid administrative leave.

On Tuesday, ABC 36 talked to parents of students who attend Cardinal Valley Elementary, who say they're not completely surprised that Beegle is being put on leave.

Parents say there have been multiple complaints made about the principal in the the past few years.

Parents also say the two paragraph letter sent home with students on Tuesday was not sufficient enough information on why exactly Beegle is being investigated.

According to officials, Ivonne Beegle and Suzanne Ray are both being investigated by the District on charges of misconduct.

The school system says the allegations do not involve students or money.

“The investigation is in its’ early stages,” says Lisa Deffendall, a spokesperson for Fayette County Public Schools.

The former principal, Barbara Albaugh, has been placed in charge of the school temporarily.

Deffendall said the District is prepared to bring in additional administrators, if necessary.
