According to the website guardkids.com only 15% of parents know what their kids are doing on social media sites.

Officials at the Department of justice say if parents knew how prevalent sexual predators were online, those numbers would be much higher.

Andrew Oliver with the Lexington Children's Advocacy Center says parents can start by keeping computers out of kids rooms and in common rooms. He also says parents should know their kids passwords and usernames, but most importantly, communicate with their kids about the dangers of online sexual predators.
