EKU Police said a suspicious package was found in Palmer Hall Monday afternoon.
As a precaution, the building was evacuated.
University officials also asked people to avoid Park Drive and the Commonwealth lot for safety reasons and to allow first responders to get to the affected area.
No word on when the building may be reopened.
