Outages, Damage Across Central Kentucky After Storms

The cities of Lexington and Richmond both saw some storm damage and power outages after Tuesday's storms.
A slew of damage and power outages were seen across central Kentucky after Tuesday's storms.

In Richmond, the sign at a Red Roof Inn fell on the back of a truck.

It smashed the truck's back window, but no one was injured.

Some parts of Lexington were in the dark Tuesday night from the storms.

Some apartments, and a shopping center, were without power at the intersection of Tates Creek and Man O War.

That shopping center includes a Kroger. Utility crews were there, trying to restore power.

Power was also knocked out at the intersection of Tates Creek and Armstrong Mill, but police were there to keep the traffic lights going.

Lexington police have 'inverter boxes' that allow them to plug a traffic light into their cruisers and keep the lights operating.
