Lexington Police say a person was shot in the 200 block of East Loudon Avenue Thursday afternoon.

That person was taken to UK Hospital, after being shot at least twice in the upper torso. No name has been released.

Police say they are looking for one suspect, though they haven't given out a description yet.

Officers have shut down the westbound lane of Loudon, between Idlewild Court and Maple Avenue, to continue investigations.

The road closure will likely last through rush hour, so police suggest avoiding the area.
