One EKU Building Open After Mercury Leak

EKU's New Science Building reopened Thursday, a week after a mercury leak.
One building has reopened, a week after a mercury spill on the Eastern Kentucky University campus, but the other remains closed.

The Richmond university says the New Science Building has been cleaned, and was given the green light to reopen on Thursday. The Moore Science Building remains closed.

Last week, mercury leaked as equipment was moved from the Moore building to the new building. Some final exams were postponed. Students are now out of class for the holiday break.
