One Dead, Two Hurt In Jessamine County Crash

One person has died after an early-morning accident in Jessamine County.

The accident happened just after 2 a.m. Tuesday on Lexington Road in Wilmore.

According to the Jessamine County Sheriff’s Department, the car was traveling outbound on Lexington Road when the driver left the roadway, overcorrected and hit a patch of trees.

Taylor Corman, 18, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sheriff’s officials said two others, Christopher Gumm, 19, and Emilee Gosser, 18, were taken to the hospital. No word on the extent of their injuries.

The Sheriff said speed and alcohol are suspected in the accident.
