State police say one person was found shot to death in a car, and another person was found wounded in some woods nearby.

Police say the body was found in a car along Kentucky Highway 175 in Muhlenberg County. Police say it wasn't a crash. The person had been shot to death, and the car drove off the road.

Police checked the woods nearby, and found another person who had also been shot. That person was still alive, and was flown to a hospital in Evansville, Indiana. Police think that shot was self-inflected.

Police suspect a murder-suicide attempt. The investigation continues.
