Oklahoma Donations Being Collected in Mt. Sterling

Churches in Mt. Sterling are collecting items for families affected by the tornado in Moore, Oklahoma.
Members of First Christian Church in Mt. Sterling are collecting donations and items to be sent to Moore, Oklahoma. Moore was struck by a deadly EF5 tornado on May 20.

The church's senior minister, Scott Holley, will help drive a U-Haul with the donations to Oklahoma this Thursday. Organizers have coordinated the donation delivery with the Salvation Army.

First Church of God in Mt. Sterling is also collecting items for the families and volunteers in Moore. They are filling a truck more than 50 feet long. The lead pastor's son attends college near Moore.

Both church's plan on accepting donations through Thursday.
