A Lexington police officer who reportedly grabbed a teenage soccer ref and threatened him pleaded guilty in court Thursday.

As a part of the plea, Keith Spears is not allowed to be around 13-year-old Nathaniel Rase or go to any games the teen may be refereeing.

He must also pay $400 in court fees and contribute $750 to the Kentucky Referee's Association.

During his court appearance, Spears apologized to the boy and his family for what happened.

Spears' future with the Lexington Police Department remains unclear.
