Officer Accused Of Ignoring Crime For Sexual Favor

Court documents say a Lexington police officer had inappropriate contact with a woman in exchange for ignoring a crime.
A Lexington police officer is accused of ignoring a crime in exchange for sexual favors.

Court documents say Sergeant Robert D. Brown pulled over a vehicle on December 9th, 2011.

Documents say that man and woman were inside, both carrying drugs.

The citation says Brown wrongfully arrested the man for having a suspended driver's license, and didn't arrest the woman.

Instead, say the documents, he took her to a remote location and "had inappropriate contact with her."

Brown is charged with three counts of Official Misconduct.

He is currently suspended without pay.

The officer is scheduled to appear in court August 13th.
