Occupy Lexington Activists Still Going Strong

Organizers say they're planning another rally on September 29th.
It's been a year since activists from across the nation took to the streets occupying sections of their communities as part of a protest of economic and social injustice.

Even in Lexington hundreds gathered for four months downtown protesting and coming up with ideas and solutions to the city's economic and social problems.

Fast forward to today and despite the lack of headlines, local organizers of the movement say they're still going strong, even if they haven't been sleeping out of tents on street corners.

April Browning and Stacie Calett say in the past year they've been preparing to present their ideas before the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Council and are even planning another rally on September 29th at Phoenix Park.
