Fugitive Arrested In Cynthiana

The Cynthiana Police Department has arrested Eric Nelson, a known sex offender.

The Boyle County Sheriff’s Office says Nelson was wanted in Lexington for a robbery charge, in Boyle County for being a non-compliant sex offender, and he’s wanted in Florida for a probation violation on a sex offence.

On Friday morning police received a tip that Eric Nelson was at a home in Cynthiana. When they arrived he was arrested immediately and taken to the Fayette County Detention Center.

The Boyle County Sheriff says Nelson will be eventually be extradited back to Florida.
