Six weeks ago, Nerlens Noel underwent surgery on his torn ACL in Florida.

Now, he's ahead of schedule and looking toward his future...no longer wanting to recall the play in Gainesville that ended his collegiate career.

Doctor James Andrews says the former Kentucky star freshman has responded well to the rehab and treatment on his knee and should be ready to go come Christmas time.  That's if everything goes as planned.

Dr. Andrews is keeping NBA teams in the loop with the latest information on Noel, who is projected as the top pick in this summer's draft.

Lots of positives from, and for, Noel today...including his outlook on the game...which remains just as passionate as before the injury.

More in the video.
