Noah's Ark Coming To Kentucky

Museum buys final tract of land for the bible-inspired theme park.

Gather the animals two by two--the famous biblical ark is coming to northern Kentucky.

Christian ministry "Answers in Genesis" said it bought the last bit of land needed for the soon-to-come 800-acre 'Ark Encounter Theme Park' Thursday.

The group, which opened the Creation Museum in 2007, is overseeing the building of the 500-foot-long wooden ark.

Organizers are trying to draw in about $24 million in donations for the proposed $150 million Noah's Ark-themed park. They say it will partially fund the construction of the giant wooden ship, which will be the park's centerpiece.

According to the Answers in Genesis website, about $5 million has been raised so far. They added that thousands have donated despite a "difficult economy".
