New warning labels coming to some birth control methods?

You could soon see new warning labels on some birth control methods. Today, the FDA will be discussing whether women should be warned about the possibility of increased risk of blood clots when taking certain contraceptives. The focus of their hearing will be on Bayer's Yasmin birth control pill. A recent study suggested that women taking the new popular form of birth control had higher rates of blood clots. The Ortho Evra patch and the Nuvaring vaginal ring were also linked to higher blood clot risks in the same study. A former FDA official has accused Bayer of being aware of these risks, and hiding the evidence.
