Approved funding through FEMA’s Individuals and Households Program: $8.2 million (Housing Assistance + Other Needs Assistance)

Approved Housing Assistance: $6.5 million

Approved Other Needs Assistance: $1.7 million

Approved U.S. Small Business Administration disaster loans (homes and businesses): $8.6 million

Approved total federal assistance (FEMA + SBA): $16.8 million

FEMA home inspections issued: 3,094

Definitions:

Housing Assistance provides assistance for disaster-related housing needs such as repairs to the home, reimbursement for lodging expenses and rental assistance.

Other Needs Assistance provides assistance for other disaster-related needs such as furnishings, transportation and medical.

There are less than four weeks for disaster survivors in Kentucky to register for federal assistance. The last day to register is Monday, May 7.

If disaster survivors have not registered for assistance or have questions about their application, they should call 800-621-FEMA (3362). The phone lines are open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week. Assistance is available in many languages. Those who are deaf, hard of hearing or who have a speech disability may use TTY 800-462-7585. Those who use 711 or Video Relay Service should call 800-621-3362.
