A new pro football team is coming to central Kentucky in the Spring of 2014.

The Bluegrass Warhorses are an arena football team that will play their home games at the Altech Arena on the grounds of the Kentucky Horse Park.

Team Co-Owner and General Manager Eric Taylor says they haven't filled out the roster yet and are still deciding on a coaching staff. However Taylor says they've received 'verbal commitments' from a few former University of Kentucky players, and have even reached out one of the NFL's most popular players.

Taylor says they contacted Tim Tebow's agent earlier in the week and says there is about a 75 percent chance the former New York Jet joins the organization as a player and also part owner.

The Warhorses will hold their first of several open try-outs on Saturday June 1st at Georgetown College's Toyota Field. Registration for non-kickers will begin at 10am.
