Bardstown police chief Rick McCubbin, said he felt sucker punch when they lost Jason Ellis. He says but now they're coming back bigger and stronger with two K9 units.

Zeus and Ace will replace Ellis' now retired dog Figgo.

On Tuesday in Bardstown the two and their officers Kyler Wright and Jeremy Cauley were introduced to the public.

It's been more than four months since office Ellis was ambushed and murdered on his way home from work.

Since then Bardstown and State police have investigated hundreds of tips....but so far have no new leads.

Those replacing Ellis say it's an honor to follow a hero.

Chief McCubbin says both canine units have already been out for a couple of weeks now.
