ABC 36 News is learning more about the teenager who was shot and killed by Shelbyville police.
Troopers say Trey Williams, 18, was deranged and violent when officers tried to arrest him Saturday.
Police were called about a man breaking into a home that belongs to Williams' grandmother. Officers found the teen inside and say he was armed with a lead pipe and refused to cooperate.
Police say their tasers did not stop the teen from throwing objects at the officers, and finally overpowering them. That is when troopers say Williams was shot. The officers involved are on paid leave, which is routine.
