The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that lane closures will be in effect for the outer loop on New Circle Road.

The closures are necessary for pothole repair work to be completed for the bridges.

Work will be performed between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on the following days:

  • Monday, May 7
  • Tuesday, May 8
  • Thursday, May 10
  • Friday, May 11

Repairs are scheduled for the following section:

  • Nicholasville Road (MP 19.5) to Richmond Road (MP 14.5) – outer loop

One lane of New Circle Road will be closed, with one lane open to traffic at all times during the scheduled days and hours of work.  Appropriate signage will be in place to alert and guide the traveling public.

All scheduled work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the work area.
