Family members are mourning the loss of a wheelchair-bound man who was killed when two homes caught fire in Mount Sterling early Sunday morning.

The man's relatives said he was planning a Super Bowl party with a friend at one of the houses on E Street at around 3am.

They said that's when the fire broke out.

A woman, two children and another man reportedly escaped the flames.

However, the man in the wheelchair was unable to get out.

Investigators are looking into what caused the fire.
