Noon Update: It's feeling muggy outside with temperatures in many areas now in the low 80s. At the noon hour, Lexington has reached 81°.
Showers and storms are still inching closer to us from the west. The nearest storms are stretching down from Louisville, through Fort Know, and into Elizabethtown. This rain will arrive in the form of a few scattered showers and storms later in the afternoon.
Our muggy and warm conditions will continue this afternoon as temperatures climb into the mid 80s. We will see a mix of sun and clouds through the day, but not everyone will stay dry. A few scattered showers or storms will be possible this afternoon.
Any rain that develops will come to an end late this evening, leaving us dry the rest of the night. By Saturday morning, temperatures will fall into the upper 60s.
Our rain chances will be slightly higher Saturday afternoon, but rain will continue to be scattered. Temperatures will reach the low and mid 80s in the afternoon.
It looks like most of us will get wet Saturday night into Sunday as our next cold front pushes through. Some of these storms could be strong to severe. The front will bring cooler and less humid air in for Monday!
