Senior citizens in Mt. Sterling can have someone pick them up for crucial appointments during these weeks of severe weather.

The Mt. Sterling Police Department said they will pick up people who have crucial doctor appointments and cannot travel because of the snow and ice.

Officers said this includes getting medicine from pharmacies.

The travel distance only applies to Mt. Sterling residents for local appointments and pharmacies.

To arrange a ride, contact the Montgomery County 911 Center at 859-498-8720.
