Lexington police have made a second arrest in connection to a shaken baby case.

Police have arrested Jennifer Saunders, 22, and charged her with criminal abuse in the shaking of her 11-month-old daughter.

The girl's stepfather, Dustin Watson, 22, has already been arrested and charged with criminal abuse. Watson is accused of shaking the child. Police say the shaking caused retinal bleeding in both eyes. The child also suffered a black eye, a frontal lobe hemorrhage, and several bruises on the body.

Police say Saunders did not seek medical help quickly enough for the girl, because she waited at least 20 hours to seek medical treatment for her.
