Mother Arrested After Child Found Wandering

Lillian Jordan, 20, was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a minor in Laurel County.
A Laurel County woman was arrested after Sheriff's Deputies said her 3-year old daughter was found wandering along a road.

Lillian Jordan, 20, of Keavy, is charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.

Investigators said they received a call Sunday morning from some people who had found a 3-year old girl wandering alone along Rooks Branch Road, about 11-miles south of London.

One of the people told investigators that the little girl had been seen earlier walking down West City Dam Road.

Investigators said that the child's mother, Lillian Jordan, was asleep at home when the child wandered off on her own.

Investigators said no calls had been made to 911 by the mother trying to find the missing child.

Sheriff's Deputies notified Social Services, who placed the child in the care of her Grandmother.

Lillian Jordan was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
