A Lexington mother is accused of letting her mentally handicapped daughter wander the streets alone.

Police said Jaria Gordon admitted to leaving her 4-year-old autistic daughter home alone while she went to work, and then to visit a friend after work. Police said they were called when someone spotted the young girl wandering the streets alone around 5 p.m. Friday night.

Investigators said Gordon was arrested and charged with Child Endangerment.
