On the heels of this morning's snow, which was mixed with some rain in southern Kentucky, drier air is slowly arriving.  The 0.7" that was measured at the Blue Grass Airport will continue to melt as temperatures peak in the upper 30s under mostly cloudy skies.  Highs will peak near 37 in Lexington.  We'll fall into the middle 20s tonight under partly cloudy skies, and some patchy freezing fog will form in some areas.  Thursday will feature dry weather with more sunshine than clouds and highs around 42.  Another disturbance will arrive late on Friday, producing another round of light snow across much of the area, although some light rain may mix with the snow in southern parts of the area.  The final snow showers and flurries will exit eastern Kentucky early on Saturday, but it will become much colder beyond the early-weekend system.  Highs will struggle to 30 degrees on Saturday, with lows into the teens on Saturday night.  Sunday will be mostly sunny and cold with highs near 33.  We'll fall into the upper teens again on Sunday night, most likely.  Temperatures will recover closer to average early next week, just in time for the next disturbance to produce a rain / snow mix on Monday night and into Tuesday.
