Morgan County Man Pleads Guilty To Beating Wife

A Morgan County man was in court yesterday answering to accusations that he beat his wife.

Attorney General Jack Conway's Office says 32-year-old John Roberts pleaded guilty to second degree assault charges today.

They say neighbors found Roberts' badly beaten wife laying outside their home in Ezel on April 16th, 2011 and they called an ambulance to take her to the hospital.

Roberts will be sentenced on June 24th.

He could spend five to ten years in prison.
