According to a recent Gallup Poll 23 percent of women in America are registered gun owners. That number has risen ten percent in the last six years.

Women ABC 36 spoke to at Semper Fi Firearms and S&D Shooting Range in Nicholasville say they have firearms and learn to shoot for defense after seeing so many violent crimes in the news in recent years.

Seth Dix who owns Semper Fi Firearms says they make it a point to cater to women customers and help them get the right gun for them.

He says he's seen the trend and says there are many days where the shooting range is filled with women shooters.

Woman have learned that you can not depend on a policeman being there on time when seconds count the police are minutes away, the average response time is 23 minutes. The firearm is the equalizer when it comes to protection. In years to come, I expect that the women we carry as much as the men. It's all lies the socialist gun banners are spreading a lie that there is a epidemic of gun crimes. There is no epidemic! They have just one plan and that is to disarm the United States! Over the last couple of months we find out that our government is using it's power to spy on the Media for control they are also using the IRS to limit the conservatives and patriots from contributing to the election by limiting non prophet status until the day after the election, many applied 20+month in advance. This was a all out way to keep the conservative party from winning the president position which essentially fixed the election and we thought Nixon was bad! After all this Tyrannical manipulation on the administration's part they are using the poor parents of the children that was killed in Connecticut school shooting to push for gun bans and gun control when the gun crime is at a all time low! Diane Feinstein slipped and said, the bill going to be introduced after the shooting was started 1 year before the shooting. They were caught on a open microphone stating they wanted to ban all guns! The Bureau of Justice Statistics has reported that the gun crime rate has plummeted down 69% lower that it was in 1993. The Bureau of Justice Statistics latest report said that Firearm-related homicides declined 39%, from 18,253 in 1993 to 11,101 in 2011. Nonfatal firearm crimes declined 69%, from 1.5 million victimizations in 1993 to 467,300 victimizations in 2011. In a population as large as the United States this is very low! The people of the United States better wake and see the truth that they are being stripped of their rights and freedoms and will no longer be citizens bus subjects of th
