Montgomery County Road Named After Fallen Soldier

A portion of Kentucky Route 460 has been renamed 'PFC Dustin Gross Memorial Highway.'
That wet weather Sunday didn't stop people from honoring a fallen soldier from Montgomery County.

Private First Class Dustin Gross was serving on his first tour in Afghanistan last year when he was killed by an improvised explosive device.

The Kentucky General Assembly has designated a stretch of Kentucky Route 460 in his home county the PFC Dustin Gross Memorial Highway.

The sign for the newly named road was dedicated Saturday at Camargo Elementary School in Mount Sterling.

Gross's mother says seeing the sign every day will bring up a mix of emotions.

The Patriot Guard Riders a national group of bikers dedicated to showing respect to fallen heroes, took part in the ceremony.
