Several people ate an early Thanksgiving dinner today.
The Mattie C. Walker Missionary Society hosted a free Thanksgiving dinner for people who might not otherwise get a big meal for the holiday.
They held it at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Keene.
Dinner was open to everyone, but especially people who are homeless, needy, sick or shut-in this holiday season.
Organizers said for people who couldn’t make it to the event, they would deliver meals to their homes.
“We can't feed everybody everyday,” Gwendolyn Mitchell said. “But with the holidays coming up we would like to do our part in sharing what we have.”
