Mild & Breezy, Scattered T-Storms For Some

Unseasonably mild air will continue to slide into Kentucky on active winds. Scattered t-storms will develop in some areas.
Today will be another breezy and very mild day, with highs peaking about 10 degrees above average.  We'll peak near 59 with partly sunny skies.  Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop in some areas as a trough of low pressure arrives from the west.  The most likely area to receive a thunderstorm today will be in southern Kentucky, with a slight chance of a severe thunderstorm in far southeastern Kentucky.  Tonight will be mild with lows near 46 as the showers and storms exit to the east.  Most of Thursday will be dry with temperatures soaring to near 65, but a round of widespread, potentially stronger or severe thunderstorms will arrive from the west in the late afternoon and evening as a strong cold front approaches.  The thunderstorms will linger into the night, weakening as they slide east.  Sharply colder air will arrive on Friday, with a few rain showers mixing with and changing to snow showers, but no significant snow accumulations are expected.  The final flurries will exit eastern Kentucky early on Saturday.  After a cold start to the weekend, temperatures will rebound to near normal for late February on a brighter Sunday.  Temperatures will peak in the lower 50s on Monday and middle 40s on Tuesday as rain showers return to the area with low pressure.
