Midway College is laying off some faculty members.

The college says an 18% enrollment drop this fall is hurting the school's bottom line.

The Board of Trustees gave administrators permission to get rid of some faculty.

They'll be notified starting next week.

The school says some staff positions were eliminated in July and August to help address overstaffing.

Midway College isn't saying how many will employees will be affected by the layoffs.
