Thousands of runners raced through Lexington today as part of the annual Midsummer Night’s Run.

The main event was a 5K race, but there was also a one mile fun run and a contest to see who is the fastest kid in town.

The 5K path led through two live concerts to motivate the runners and draw crowds to cheer them on.

Money raised went to Central Baptist Hospital.
